USD/CNH Down; 6.3850-6.3920 Range Tipped

The USD/CNH, or offshore USD/CNY, is down, tracking the onshore pair's fall as China's central bank guided the fixing lower amid a weak greenback. The offshore pair is at 6.3895 vs 6.3925 late Wednesday. Hong Kong
Treasury Markets Association's USD/CNH fixing was at 6.3873 vs 6.3871 Wednesday. One-year USD/CNY NDFs are at 6.3370/6.3420, vs 6.3400/6.3430 late Wednesday. The pair's drop is due to Asian currencies recouping some of their earlier sharp losses, a trader at a local bank says. He tips the pair in a 6.3850-6.3920 range for the session. Onshore, the USD/CNY is down at 6.3894 vs 6.3964 Wednesday.
